Grains of Humanity….

I  just want to live, I don’t want to be dead,

this ceaseless litany whirls around in my head

thoughts cluster around like birds taking flight

worse than any dark dreams grasping at night

BUT  what is the point, why are we here

why live this life if beset by such fear

seeing pain and sorrow felt every day

a wave of suffering that won’t go away

as if the Earth is crying at every foul deed

that humanity wields, Oh why were we ever a seed?

Surely planted to grow and live in harmony with Nature,

Humane? No not us,  we’re the wildest of creature!!

  1. Hi Pen! 🙂

Just caught your Friday comment! 🙂

Yes, I’ve decided to BUY a Blu-ray copy of ‘wall-E’ I liked it so much!!! 🙂

Glad you had a win on the Thunderball – maybe a celebratory glass of wine is in the offing?

No matter – the money is yours to do with as you please and I’m sure your newfound wealth won’t change you!!! 🙂

    Love and squishy hugs!

  2. Live and let live…yes? Everything else is secondary…Love, c.

  4. When you take a look at all of the awful events in the news, it’s easy to question the purpose and mis-dirrection of humanity.

What we humans need to do is learn how to get along and accept one another’s differences…maybe…one day…it will happen. Meantime, all we can do is strive to live the best life we can and hope that others will try to do the same.

  5. Humanity lived in harmony with the planet until the principal of “ownership” appeared, and at that point what “was”, became ours, mine, yours and wealth, greed, envy, ego were born. Wars broke out in the name of land, power, dominance, greed, ego and were given legitimacy under the banners of ideology, religion and good.
There will always be war, there will always be the destruction of nature by people who value money, and we all live in the shadow of nuclear weapons, but I don’t think humanity has – or will – completely destroy earth. Despite all our faults and wrong doings to and on our planet, I continue to have hope for a brighter tomorrow and future.

    • I have no fear that earth will be destroyed, Seth, only that we will destroy the chance of living in harmony with nature and sharing this planet with all forms of life. The Earth, unless blown up by a multitude of Atom bombs, or hit by massive meteorites, will live on, with or without us. I just fear for the destruction of the soil, the seas and the air…poisoning is so rife…following in the footsteps of mankind…but there must be hope as you say, must be or else, nothing…. x
