A
pale pale face
and pale pale eyes
staring right at you
seeming to despise
choosing to condemn
wanting you to know
poison being the reason
for the pale face to show.
Shock and total horror
at the Oceans demise
shock and horror
from the pale, pale eyes.

Beautiful rhythm nearly disguising a mournful warning. As a scuba diver for over forty years I’ve witness first hand and sadly to say participated, in her demise.

So much at peril, Earl, now and again a poem comes to mind when another tragedy hits at the Oceans of the World.,

The oceans, the air, the jungles, the forests…everything being stripped away. Though the time for Mother earth to re invent herself is coming, it cannot be denied that we have hastened that time…

Very good poem hun – we really ARE killing the world!
Thanks for the visit and the comment.
What has happened in Japan is horrendous and the Fukushima reactors are the icing on the cake.
No wonder I got a headache – I kept choking back tears with the news reports from the disaster zone.
Nobody should suffer like this and Japan has suffered sooo much….
The headache went as I rested – after I did my emails! LoL!!!
Let’s hope God is listening – we could both do with some good news!
Love and squishy hugs!
Prenin.

The rhythm to this poem fits the movement of a fish, I think, Pen. How many species know it is us? I imagine all of them, really. Good poem!

The poem almost wrote itself Leslie, I imagine the marine life have no idea what hit them, and other wildlife are just striving to survive … Many thanks my friend..xx

Hello, Lady Bess. I hope you’re keeping Lady Pen out of trouble. If an apple can be compared with earth, we are living on the apple peeling, thin and irreplaceable. If mankind is to survive, the ocean, air, and earth must be tended carefully and lovingly. I’m afraid that by the time everyone realizes that the earth is special , our resources will be gone. Thanks for sharing your poem.

IT does indeed Summer, and sometimes I wonder … were we planted here by mistake? Maybe we should have gone somewhere less…delicate…and so easily destructible, made that way by our presence … WE have done so much damage in so few years, compared with how long the Dinosaurs ruled…(160 million years) makes you think doesn’t it? Have a great week-end my friend xx

MY thanks Bex, I just wish it didn’t need to be said. What would it take for us to live in harmony with the natural World about us? Instead we find ourselves in dire need of re-schooling in the art of survival, and learning to leave well alone.. xx

Take care of and respect Mother Earth, and Mother Earth will take care of us. This is not happening! Many people are not hearing Mother Earth cry, or seeing the warnings. The voices of our top scientists are telling us where we are headed, and it seems that the only voices that are heard are the voices of big money. Polluted water and air is everywhere, and in some places it is a struggle to see the sun. Raging fires are breaking out in … Global warming, depletion of natural resources, species extinction (due to humans), ecological and environmental destruction, crime… the list can keep going. I can imagine ourselves being responsible for the end of mankind too!

Me Too Seth, and countless others, but their voices are drowned out by self serving individuals who will not ‘see’ the greater picture, who only think of profit now, and let the future take care of itself. To counteract all that has been done, we need Global agreements, and this will never happen … or too little too late methinks…Many thanks for your comment my friend…xx
