Grudging Nature…..

Nature..1

Nature..1We live
side by side
with Nature,
now and again
we deliver a
sharp nudge.
When Nature
has a need
to respond
in kind,
who are
we to
bear
a
lasting
   grudge?

  1. Tis so true dear Lady Pen….”who are we to hold a grudge” indeed!!! One can only take so much before she pushes back. Treat her kind always.

  3. Aaah. The imagery, here, on either side of your poem is wonderful. I first saw a wave and then a tornado and from that? ….Mother Nature. Wonderful thought and one we might think on awhile, Pen. Beautifully written and to the point!

  5. Yes, we don’t deserve to have a grudge against nature, and I wouldn’t even mind of nature develops a grudge against us (after all, we’ve not treated nature too well). Very powerful message in this poem, well done Lady P!

  6. Beautiful and thoughtful post – love the image, too. I’d like to hear something from Fyrespike, Pen – it has been a while.

    • Thank you Monica, I do seem to be able to find just the right image at the moment. and Fyrespike eh? I have been working on a storyline continuance for my Hortense adventure, but I do remember starting another story about Kalaseru, Fyrespikes mate. but that was before Bess, I’ll have to check how far I’ve progressed and see is it’s worth continuing. xx

We tend to forget that Mother Nature bats last.

  8. Wonderful poem Lady P. Sometimes I wonder just how much abuse the earth can take! It’s no wonder nature has been unleashing extreme weather, earthquakes, tornados and so on. Mother nature is yelling at us and we should stop and listen before it’s too late.
    Big hugs to you

  9. Well said, lovely. Personally, I think Nature has every right to be PO’d at the way mankind has treated the planet! 😉

  10. Much too true Pen! Very well said and very accurate indeed! We make such a big huff and fuss when nature strikes back at us and who else do we have to blame but ourselves? I guess you could call this a type of Karma all of its own – collective destructive acts and a retaliation from that which we were destroying. While some people have always been aware and more people are becoming more aware, more and MORE people need to start taking heed of the warnings from nature! We need to start playing nice 🙂 Great words Pen!

(¸.•´ (¸.•` ¤ It is true.. Mother Nature can be quite the b***h at times, maybe we should just accept and permit her to have her way since she understands her business better than we do. If we could only take a look at the bigger picture, she blesses us with so much more than what she takes from us.

    • I think that’s all we can do Seth, take care and listen to the warnings we’re getting. So many seem to think we can just mess about with the cycle of continuance, but it has to be maintained, and only she knows how. thanks for the thoughtful comment my friend. xx

  12. Ah but we do Pen, and we are so wrong, we should really accept Her for what she is, and what she gives us, cos she’ll have the last word anyhow. SO, Arlene, no more complaining about the rain. !

    • … yup, Mother Nature cannot be controlled but we are feeling the effects where man has made changes. The Ozone Layer is one such, but so many say it’s not so, and how could it be global warming when the weather goes so cold? but surely the answer is it’s a knock on effect, our weather patterns are going crazy.. and so many things are depending on a continuous cycle … \many thanks for your comment Arlene, and hugs to you Tango and Ruby. xx

    • Thanks Chloe, it seems I’m learning how to say more with less, maybe it’s reading your Haiku poetry, that’s helping? You and Laz have my utmost respect for your wonderful wording ability to say so much, through strings that the mind grasps and draws pictures with. Pleased you enjoyed this offering. xx
