So
many
sounds
surround
us every day,
voices so vocal
we hear all they say
they talk as they walk
looking strange as can be
Plugged in, totally connected
but the World about they don’t see .

Oh, well said, Pen – disconnected in our connectedness.

Why thanks bb, I love to try and find a little extra for the subject, (this one took me ages to find, and I nearly went cross eyed looking through Bluetooth gifs and piccies) .. pleased you enjoyed the little ode. xx

That’s a perfect description! When I was a kid if we saw people talking to themselves in the streets they were deemed crazy, now no one can tell if they’re talking to themselves or talking to someone through an ear piece for a cel. so it’s hard to tell who’s crazy and who is so self-important that they can’t go 5 minutes without either making or answering a cel call. I’m not sure which is worse.
Have a great night Lady P.

HI Nikki, and I totally agree, so much time spent making sure they’re ‘on call’ , able to be connected at the press of a button, no matter where they are.. Must be a nightmare trying to find the will power to switch off. … Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday and many thanks for your comment my lovely friend. xx

Hi there Monica, I think we’re becoming further and further disconnected in this World of hi-fi flying technology… Glad you enjoyed the rhyme. xx

Isn’t that the truth! We see peeps plugged in all the time, everywhere. They do not seem to pay attention to what is happening all around them. Frightening and sad at the same time.
Love this little guy with his accessories….LOL….You do so well with these graphics.

It is very worrying MJ, and as a race we seem to be totally disconnecting ourselves and relying on technology for answers to our problems. xx

Some are from Photobucket Michiko San, .. I don’t know if they’ve proved the brain cancer link, but if they had I suppose there’d have to be a warning attached to the phone… Though that makes me wonder if anyone would take any notice? xx

I always find it odd when I pass by a person who seems as if they’re talking to someone but there is no one around – tricky little electronic devices hidden from sight! It is too true however that we’re getting more and more disconnected from society that we don’t even notice others around when we’re so intent in our conversations! Insightful poem Pen! Big hugs!

Me too, Andini, there’s always something slightly odd about one person chatting away, and you know full well there’s another person the other end looking just as strange to someone else. … We connect so much this way, yet why do I feel that we’re becoming more and more personally unconnected? … Hugs my friend. xx
