If
you
reach out
and find what
you’re looking
for….
you
are
very
blessed indeed…
Whereas
I reached out
grasping the nettle,
masquerading
as
a
weed.

You must have picked some roses without touching the thorns Princess
May your garden be filled with flowers that give the most sweetest scent for you alone

I love playing about with short ones Ian, poems-wise,…. 😉 … I do try and keep away from the rose thorns, but sometimes I act before thinking, I have a Pyrancatha shrub which has grown massive and it takes revenge when I try to trim it… Many thanks for the sweet wishes my friend, very much appreciated, and reciprocated. xx

Ouch!! Ouch!! and a further Ouch, Andro, one Nettle is bad enough but to fall into a patch of them… I do hope you found dock leaves nearby?… Pleased you enjoyed this ode my dark friend, it says so much without really trying. I suppose. … My evening plans are for rest and relaxation, and opening a bottle of red…Parkers off out on his Motorbike, mayhap you’ll hear the sound of the engine as it roars past, .his mufflers a bit old and knackered, much like the owner methinks.. 😉
Have a good one Oh Dark Lord of the Prose….. xx

Yes well if he roars past the graveyard I will stick out a large spike, you never know it might just hit the target? 🙂 lol By the way it is very nice to see you in your new profile picture, and it is about time too where have you been hiding all this time Lady Pen? 🙂
Have a very relaxing evening drinking a few glasses of chilled wine, and as it is the Red stuff do watch out for any of those wayward Vampires as they always like a bit… of the Red 🙂 😉 lol

Now that might work. Andro, giving Parker that short. ( mayhap long) sharp shock he needs to be more considerate whilst charging about on his bike….and thank you for noticing my profile piccie, It’s one off my mobile, I still haven’t gotten round (My diction is getting rather slack methinks 😉 ) to buying a new camera…. it seems once I tighten my belt and think “wait ’til next month” it becomes second nature to not buy a thing without a pang of conscience. … Cheers to you oh Dark One. xx

Thank you sweet Jen, and I only had a glass or two, I find during the week it tends to become too much of a temptation to drink the whole bottle, so I lock it away and hide the key… I hope you’ve recovered ok, and that Graveyard looked fantastic, and I bet it’s hard not to let your imagination fly in such a great setting. xx

Ouch indeed, Pen! It always helps to know what it is you are looking for, I find, but sometimes the odd nettle gets caught up in the handful. Never mind, though. I noticed that you have mentioned your Pyracantha again – is it still playing up after all this time?
While I’m commenting, I hope you don’t mind if I nominate you for the Versatile Blogger award. I love reading your poems, posts, stories and comments, and think this award is in order! There are a few rules, which are in this post here but I think we can be flexible with them!

the Pyracantha is still a veritable giant of a …beast… Sir Aquatom, and I must cut it down to size, trouble is it fights back… oh so viciously… The spikes on it are horrendous… Many thanks for the Award, my friend, I’ve done an update covering it and one thinkest that one hast been very flexible, ( very flexible) indeed. .. 😀 … xx

I know what you mean about the nettles. But sometimes they have beautiful pink blossoms, and the gold finches like their seeds. Good things in due course? I also like your new gravatar. It’s fun to get a glimpse of the real (?) Pen.
