Just Say?…

how-to-get-him-back-67307645-jul-2-2012-600x598 Just
say if you get tired of me
don’t hint with a smile,
just tell me and I’ll disappear
don’t do a 3 minute mile,
as soon as you see me
you don’t need to
run away,
just tell me
if you get weary
or do you want me to
stay?
Just ignore my arms
wrapped round your leg
as you drag me to the door,
now, please tell me, I can take it,
if you don’t want to see me
any more…

  5. I felt her pain, so is her great love. It hurts to know that sometimes love is not reciprocal. Why can’t both parties just be happy and rejoice in love? Why does one have to be in tears? Life, sometimes not really fair. Great poem my friend.

    • ’twas an almost comical scenario Traveler, the ending, but therein was contained the pain from a lost love which comes from the ending of a relationship. Many thanks for your lovely comment my friend… I hope you and yours have a wonder-filled weekend. xx

  7. I can see you now, Lady Pen, in the supermarket clinging on to one of your friends’ legs as they hastily try to get to the checkout before they close… very funny!

  8. I can recall that scenario in real life Pen, but it was me wrapped around the legs.
Well written Pen, wishing you much love.

  9. The only time I wrapped my arms around someone’s legs who was leaving – was in a rugby game. I was a short 5’8 and 130 lbs, he was a line-backer for Montreal Allouettes and huge, he had enormous tree-tunks he ridiculously called legs. Still it gave me a bounce as I grimly hung on pretending I was slowing him down.
    Great post
