your options open,
whilst taking all things into account
by laying your cards on the table
will all opposition then surmount?
Perhaps you suffer fools gladly,
as a little knowledge is a dangerous thing
but then fortune ever favours the brave,
and first impressions are the most lasting…

    I would have to say I’ve been very blessed with life’s favors, Pen. I think most are when they count their blessings rather than just their misfortunes.
    And keeping the door open for options is always the best play.

    Hmmm…hmmm? Will we overcome obstacles if we keep our options open and lay everything on the table? You know Pen, I think we do…but it is to ourselves first that we need to be honest with, you know? Once we are honest with ourselves and are open to how things may come to pass, with no expectations on how WE want it to unfold…then great things are possible!

    When we open our minds to new things, when we face our fears and apprehensions with courage and wisdom and when we simply want to change things for better…we’ll gain back that part of ourselves we long forgotten.     Interesting. Your ideas about open options and cards on table reminded of a labour relations course I took eons ago. It was attended by both union officials SMS management types. We were all taught to keep cards very tight to chest and to hold onto the one main objective we had in the negotiations. I could never understand why both sides couldn’t lay cards on table and see how we might get the closest to meeting both sets of objectives.
    Collaborative negotiating has to be better than hidden agendas

    I have found that true regarding first impressions. And they are not always the right impression. Someone may have been in a difficulty mentally or physically, hence made a bad first impression. But on further examination you may find them quite lovely.
