You asked could you be forgiven, 
I said yes, but you see I lied.
You asked if you had hurt me,
I said no, truth is I cried.
Truth can be sometimes hurtful,
make the vulnerable even more so.
Then you asked if we had a future,
I answered with truth,
coup de grâce,
a loud
No!!

      Hi there Sweeti, yup, no point in wasting precious time living a lie. ‘Tis raining again hereabouts, but nothing as bad as London, and the South Of England. So much water… and so many lives upturned through it. xxx

    Looks like I will be eating all the chocolates for myself then ma Lady, and I thought we were the perfect… Hey I will still share my wine gums, that’s if Fraz and Winky have saved us any 😉 I have enjoyed reading this one Lady Pen but then your poetic wickedness has always been second to none 🙂

    I like the energy in this poem. A resounding NO to balance off the tears. I always wonder if these poems you write are about you or if the muse just shares through you. In my own writing it’s sometimes one way, sometimes another, so that’s probably how it is with you, too. Happy belated Valentines Day, Pen!

      ah now Kathy, ‘twould be telling eh? BUT I can say, sometimes there’s a grain of me in there, mayhap something of the like happened. Sometimes though it’s pure daydream, just an idea, a line in my head which grows and I go with the flow. (seems to be my motto at this time in my life. ‘Go with the Flow’ Maybe it’s not a good one. but for me it’s working. ) I am so, so glad you enjoyed the read, and very much belated Valentine wishes.to you..
