Bell Ringing…

The bell rings, can anyone
hear? The time is now,
that much is clear.
The figure, stooped,
stares mute with a plea,
A warning? A calling?
Whatever could it be?

I found this little gif in my files,… I have no idea
where I ‘borrowed’ it from.  I just thought to share.
Do you have any answers?   Postcards please!  xx

  2. Love you little ditty Pen and your gif, it reminds me of a Monastery I stayed in a few times when on dog shows, in I think it was Aylesbury, they had a bell in the grounds that would have given Big Ben a run for his money , I was always tempted to throw a rock at it just to hear it chime, but never had the nerve, perhaps that is it coming back to haunt me. Love from we three XXX

  5. That’s a pretty cute icon – it reminds me of the Hunchback of Notre Dame! You know, to my mind, ringing bells are a warning (or at least that’s what I picture in my head at the moment though I don’t know why). I know it’s not always the case but I’m going to say: It’s a warning! 😛

    • Yup, I’d say you’re right Andini, I think it’s almost certainly Quasimodo, and ringing a warning? Could be, you never know, or maybe as some say, it’s the dinner bell. 😉 Good to see you blogging again sweet friend, I’ll be calling by soon. xx

  6. I’m no help with the source of the adorable gif, sorry.
But your poem reminded me of “The Bells” by Poe. Hearing it being read on a vinyl record in the fourth grade was my introduction to poetry. I was quite spell-bound.

  7. Ding Dong! It was only me, Lady P. Stooped because of my bad back I was, but my good back’s back now and I’m no longer stooped, although I’m pooped. OK, I’ll stop now. (I’m catching up, by the way, BACKwards!) Next! Or Previous! 😉
