The Moon dressed
in all her white glory, stares
down with ever careless gaze, at those
who worship her stark beauty, by looking
upward marking every phase. Her spectral
light doth truly glisten, upon the restless ever
churning sea, as with every waxing ‘n
waning she lives, the tidal waves
follow her focal symmetry.

Oh, this is a perfect work, Pen. Yes, we’re like the tide, caught under the Moon’s gracious spell, glistening with her reflected glory. You have captured the magic of her beauty so well.

I love the symmetry of your prose, which I believe to be intentional–It looks like the moon! 😀 I particularly love this line: “Her spectral
light doth truly glisten, upon the restless ever
churning sea…”

I try always to find a pleasing shape, Ink Jester, and if it relates to the poem all well and good. (Mind you, can take ages sometimes, mayhap more than the poem itself. ) but glad you enjoyed this tribute to the Moon .. xxx

For some reason, a moonlit night like this, makes me feel the vastness of our earth and the smallness of me in it much more than a sunny day. I reflect, inwardly, in the presence of the moon because of that vastness.

You’re so right Leslie, the darkness, other than the Moons light, tends to underline our mortality n this vast Universe. xxx

This is a beautiful collection of words that portray the experience of moon worship, cause and effect and the beauty of nature, Pen. It is a very enjoyable set of verses that become more lovely with each reading. Like the sea the depth brings more substance to the read.
