Memory Access…

sleepy password  Passwords for this,
passwords for that
I cannot remember
so can I pass?
Those little boxes
waiting in vain,
‘wrong’
in
red
letters
‘please try again.’

I have a binder containing all of my passwords, or so I thought, I’ve been trying for an hour to log into an old email addy,  I Give Up, before the PC takes flight. I added vengeance in the category/tag as it came to mind more than once.    😉  xx

Gas Man Cometh…

British Gas Waiting seems an art form.
Do you just sit and stare?
or perhaps you keep busy,
‘til whoever’s suddenly there.
Do you drum your
fingers loudly,
do you settle
and read
a book?
or maybe pace, turn and turn about
never giving the clock a second look.
All at once the waiting’s over,
they arrive and all is well,
forgotten is the time wasted
you’re off…,
at the sound of the bell.

14.40pm/ Not too bad this time, the Gas Man has just rung to say he’s ten minutes away… so all I’m doing is coughing my time away… I wonder?. should I warn him I’m probably contagious?… Nah!!! 😉  xx

Q Jumper…

queue jumperThe queue
was
long,
tempers
were short,
as the man pushed in
the air was fraught
with muttered words
and daggered glances
but he had no care

   for
what
were
           the
                                      chances
  anyone
      would
say
a
                  word
he was home and dry
and they were absurd.
Suddenly,
a hand waved a wand,
when his senses returned
he was knee deep in a pond.
Lesson learned? I hear you ask,
Oh no, he keeps trying
but I’m up to the task…

Impatience…

                      My stomach seems tight
                             making me feel quite ill
                                        waiting for the taxi
                                            can’t seem to sit still
                                         pacing back ’n forth
                                    from window to door
did I give the right time,
               the right address for sure?
       should I ring them back,
  should I make a fuss?
         oh for goodness sake
                I should’ve taken a bus,
too late now to think like this
                             the night’s ended in doom
                                   always something amiss
                                                too much to hope for
a night out on the town
                                        Oh, my Taxi’s arrived?
                           quickly banishing the frown
                my calmness is rewarded
         with time enough to spare
     (when Patience was handed out…
                well, … seems I wasn’t at all there …)
