Wait A Minute…

mirror mirror

I wait,
I always do,
but surely my waiting
reflects on you? You do
not care to let me know
the change of plans to
explain ‘no show’, as
I wait, I always do
but… now I reflect
on changing

To those companies, taxi firms, busses, Plumbers,
in fact anyone who keeps us waiting in suspense,
then again, could be referring to someone closer to
home, who always keeps me waiting, …
leaving me with the
thoughts above…

12 of the Clock…

wall clock It’s 12 of the clock,  how do I know?
The ticking sound tells me so. It’s strike
has gone, when I over keyed but I love this
clock and there is no need for striking the
half, the quarter, the hour, for time doesn’t
speed or go any slower, just gently ticks
the seconds away, each and every

Ps/ Unless I forget to wind it,  ‘tis not battery operated…I couldn’t get a clock picture which said 12 o’clock, every one is set to ten minutes past ten, …. I think ‘cos it’s aesthetic looking? This one was unusually set and looks like mine. The sound of a tick-tock reminds me of my grandparents home,  and makes me feel calm,  which is handy.  🙂   xx

Time Gap…

I feel quite alien,
as if mis-stepping in time.
The beat of life’s drum changes
as a constantly rewritten rhyme.
There’s no
thing to say I’m different,
as nothing makes me stand out
but greeting and meeting others
gives me pause and reason to doubt.
A feeling of strangeness lingers
as if a thin veil glides between
this and that other reality
Mayhap that is where I
should have been?

 Chris Challice photos 021_1 We
stare eye to eye,
every day, putting on
make-up, nothing to say,
a reflection looks back,
’tis my face I know, sometimes
a connection as a smile starts to grow,
but at others there’s nothing
eyes meet with lips pursed
you’re me, as I’m you but
who’ll look away

                 Sometimes I wonder
               am I quite sane?
Sometimes I think
that madness is fraught
with ideas that circle,
but won’t be caught
The more you try
the less you gain
finding an idea
that will remain
within close range
not set to fly
                                        flitting away
as you say ‘bye, to sanity
that noble beast where nothing
is left at
the Mad Hatters feast,
as the mouse is kept within
the teapot, where madness reigns
and sadly, sanity does not.

This came to me as a thought, just a simple thought about how one views everyday things. How we can misconstrue and gain the wrong impression about someone. My slant on life gives me much pleasure and makes me laugh sometimes but am I sane? For I feel sure I have hidden from the powers that be and have escaped the straight jacket!!   😉
